Doing my best to put 0% spoilers in.

Rating: 4/5 Stars.

Things I liked:
1. The story was interesting Apocalypse seems very over done, but with people turning into giant spider type things(actually they are called "Arachna")? I don't think I have heard of that one before.

2. Another thing I enjoyed was the friendships, at times it was a little silly and over done but it was still very enjoyable to see friends who sacrificed and cared deeply for each other.

3. Sigur, what seems to be a spirit/powerful thing bound to a human making them a much more powerful it is dangerous to give a human a Sigur...but I gotta say short of a Geneseed (Warhammer 40k reference hehehe)...I want one of these. The two Sigur's in the story the most where both deeply interesting characters and getting to see Pixie's journey into becoming a Sigur was very fun.

4. Fighting scenes where pulled of very well in my opinion. It seemed as though this was the authors first novel but the fighting was one of the best parts. Which in most first time novelist I can't say I've said that before.

5. Pacing of the novel, never to fast or slow just perfect.

Things I disliked aka reason I removed a star:
1. Sigur, what they are really never feels fully explained and left very open which was very annoying.

2. The "Arachna" there is so very much hinted at yet never (like the Sigur issue)resolved. Are the people mutated by the virus still there mentally to some degree in the Arachna? Why the sudden change in there virus strain? Shouldn't they have been growing gradually more powerful?

3. There are some errors in the writing, one such situation was when Pixie was "talking" when Pixie was actually somewhere else and it was really Rose. Only happened a couple times but still is very important to me as I had to go back and re-read page to correct it.

4. It was written in first person, ok now I know this is a preference thing. But first person is not the best way to write a book and rarely have I seen it pulled off in a fashion where I just fall in love with it. For this book it was OK, but I really think third person would be better.

In short, it was obviously not the best written book. Was it worth reading? Yes. Was it worth paying the dollar for? Most defiantly. Heck I got it and read it on my PC as I do not have a Kindle and still enjoyed it a lot.

I really hope people will read it and post it around it is a quick and clean very good read.

Breaking Point edition by Kayla Gibfried Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Breakng point was a fun, fast read. There were just enough characters to keep me intrigued. The action was tight and intense, the villains despicable. The plot revolved around good daring to challenge and combat the forces of evil. This is an eternal struggle but Breaking Point kept the action focused and fast.
