Great world building, great love story and a little different to the first book which kept the interest for the author high. This was entertaining from the start to the end with some very likeable characters and sometimes that is all it takes.
Can't wait to see where wolves and fae meet next.

Skye, the sassy fae/shapeshifting princess sets out into the human world to track down the new Wolf King and get in touch with her inner wolf and regain her fae powers (or something like that), but instead finds his sexy enforcer, shapeshifter Lake, who is destined to be her life mate. The author brings a wickedly wry sense of humor and some unexpected plot twists and turns to this story, as well as a delightful shout-out to Steinbeck.

There's a lot of imagination, romance and action packed into this little novella. I really had to hang in there through the first few pages as I was overloaded with the author's slightly confusing new world of fae, shapeshifters, Wolf Kings, Others, Dark Fae, royalty and shamans. But, I'm really glad I did; it improved vastly as the pages flew by.

The heart of the story is the sexy and sweet romance between our quirky heroine and Lake (sigh), the hot wolf who is also a truly good man. Backstory on Lake was lacking, but the steamy romance made up for it! The supporting characters; Nathan & Cass, Tremont the Wolf King, Margot the nemesis, and the enigmatice Shaman, Cal, were well done and rounded out the story nicely.

I definitely recommend for fantasy romance fans. If half the seeds the author has sown in this novella turn into realized plots in future books, it could be a great series!
